A Trip To Rookwood

Updated: Mar 22, 2019

What an amazing visit we had with Amy at the Rookwood Inn. Amy not only operates the charming Victorian bed and breakfast, but is a Justice of the Peace and ULC Ordained Interfaith Minister. She takes the time to learn about each couples individuality, how they met, what they share, and what their ideas are about their special wedding day. She meets with each couple (in person, by phone or online) and learns about them, their family traditions and their individual likes and dislikes regarding weddings. They talk about the ideas for their dream wedding. Justice Amy then then incorporates this knowledge into a ceremony she writes just for them.

Justice Amy is available to officiate at weddings throughout the Berkshires. If you’re looking for a ceremony out of the area, Amy uses her ULC Minister hat to perform weddings elsewhere specializing in interfaith and intercultural weddings.

But back to the Inn! Rookwood is in a unique location in that it is peaceful and secluded, yet only a block from the town center and about a mile to Tanglewood. Take a short drive to Shakespeare & Company or Berkshire Theatre Festival. Heal your body and spirit at Kripalu or a local spa. Hike, bike, shop and dine the Berkshires.

Rookwood Inn is the perfect setting for special, intimate weddings, elegant elopements and vow renewals. Imagine a ceremony written just for the two of you, performed in a fairy-tale setting — outdoors in our Victorian pergola amidst the gardens or on the veranda; or, during the cooler months, in the parlor in front of a blazing fire; or in the romantic turret.

Choose an intimate setting for two to 35 indoors or more outdoors. Rookwood offers 20 elegantly decorated bedrooms, housing close to 50 guests for you and your special guests.

We had such a wonderful time visiting the Rookwood Inn, be sure to stop in and see Amy, she is such a joy!
