Relax -I Mean It
With all of the details, checklists, payments and correspondence involved in planning a wedding, some might find it hard calling it “fun”. Here at Something Pretty Events we know that the planning process can be nerve wracking and incredibly stressful, but we’re here to help. Here are a few of our favorite tips on how to make the process of planning your wedding fun! Yes, it’s possible. • Reward yourself. All work and no play makes for some grumpy fiancés! Make it a date with your partner by celebrating both the big and little milestones in planning. Whether it be with champagne, massages, or a nice dinner, by celebrating the little accomplishments it instantly becomes more fun and rewarding. • Invite friends! Creating your own centerpieces? Need help making those seating charts? Whatever the task may be,as long as you trust others can handle it, invite friends over and make a night of it! Turn on some good tunes, reward your friends with some cocktails or appetizers as a way to say thanks! • Make a Non-Wedding Plan. Yup. That’s right. This might go without saying for some, but while you’re planning your wedding don’t put everything else on hold. Between saving and planning so many couples ease off on other aspects of their life in the lead up to the big day and then feel a massive void when it’s all over. Make sure to do lots of non-wedding things throughout your engagement. Meet up with friends and don’t talk about the wedding, get day trips away with your sweetie, maintain your hobbies, plan what lies ahead after your honeymoon. • When you feel an entire year of your life has gone into your wedding it is so much easier to get anxious about how it’s all going to turn out. Your wedding does deserve lots of time and attention, but remember, just enjoy it!
